Education:

QA Engineer - Silicon Valley
Job Description
The primary responsibility of this candidate will be to ensure the quality of all product releases, which includes version-to-version consistency and compatibility, tool integrity and stability, etc. The candidate needs to track and enhance the existing QA regression suites on daily basis. S/he also needs to quickly learn new R&D deliverables and help create test cases or perform stress testing when needed.
Qualifications
- Experiences in software validation/testing, QA regressions, releasing control, and configuration management required. Minimum of two years.
- Proficiency in perl and tcl scripting required
- Proficiency in LEF, DEF, Liberty, STA, SPEF/DSPF, GDS, and Spice required
- Knowledge in electronic circuits and physical designs required
- Experiences in VLSI design preferred
- C++/C programming experience a plus
- Good communication skills with a solid and detail-driven personality
- Quick learner for keeping up with the fast pace of R&D deliverables
- MS in Electrical Engineering required

- Develop and enhance the flagship RedHawk physical power integrity product, using efficient simulation methods like numerical integration solving differential equation, using optimization methods like network flow, linear programming, nonlinear programming
- Develop and support circuit analysis product, including matrix solver algorithm, data encryption and decryption, input parser, simulation control flow and output waveform format
- Develop, enhance and improve the usability and graphical user interface of flagship RedHawk physical power integrity product
- Develop and support critical path and clock network timing sign-off solution for high-performance nanometer designs
- Develop and support the power analysis and verification product, including on-chip memory macro-modeling algorithm, physical design data parser and conversion, geometry transformation and tracing algorithms, chip substrate effect flow
